Finding Your Focus
Yesterday on Smashing the Plateau, Jeffrey Hayzlett discussed his impressive career as an entrepreneur and business television host, and demonstrated how leaders can take their businesses to the next level.
Here are some of his biggest influences:
1) Fred Pinson
He is a plumber who hired me back when I was 12/13 years old. My father was in Vietnam at the time, and he gave me a job and taught me the right way to do things and the wrong way to do things.
2) Harold Jones
He is a former Vietnam veteran and Marine helicopter gunner. He and his wife kind of adopted me at a pivotal time in my young adulthood, and made sure I didn’t screw up! He was a great mentor who showed me how to make profit.
3) Michael O’Connor
He is a former print shop owner and friend.
4) John Timmer
I was a Democrat and he was a Republican who ran for Congress, but I still love the guy! He is just a great businessman.
4) Henrietta Mangus and Bill Hayzlett
My dad was a sergeant in the military, and my mom was a bookkeeper who became a real estate agent and went on to sell millions of dollars of real estate. These are people I admire more than anybody.
