Rockstar Entrepreneurs and Parents: Ryan Neal's Influences

On yesterday’s episode of Smashing the Plateau, Ryan Neal talked about “operationalizing” your business as you become more successful. He talked about being a seasoned investor and an attorney with a passion for entrepreneurship.

Here are some of his biggest influences:

1) Chris Neal

My mother, the original serial entrepreneur, was a big inspiration because she showed me anything is possible and no obstacle is too difficult to overcome.

2) John Connors

He was my mentor who challenged me to think differently about my purpose and role as a leader.

3) Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

These are two books my mom gave me in high school. They showed me the value of production and the importance of entrepreneurship.

4) Warren Buffett

He says an investor must choose a company that has a “durable competitive advantage”. This means the company will remain profitable over a long period of time and it offers a product or service that is unique.

5) Richard Branson

I have always admired him as an entrepreneur because he constantly challenges what is possible.
